Freestyle is the artistic and athletic heart of disc dog sports. It's where creativity meets precision, showcasing the incredible bond between dog and handler through a choreographed routine set to music.
Freestyle is a timed performance where the handler and dog perform a series of disc throws, tricks, and athletic maneuvers. The routine is designed to highlight the dog's agility, catching skills, and showmanship, as well as the handler’s disc control, flow, and overall creativity.
There are 5 divisions in the Freestyle format.
The Junior division is the entry level division for all Junior D/A Teams.
The Rookie division is the entry level division and for Junior teams who have earned their FDJ Title.
The Contender division is open to teams who have earned their FDR Titles.
The Expert division is open to teams who have earned their FDC Titles.
The Legend division is open to teams who have earned their FDE Titles.
